F.A.Q.

What is a handle? A handle is your username. Bluesky assigns everyone a bsky.social handle at the start, but you can change it easily.

Why should I use a baysky.social handle? Because I'm not a corporation. This handle is on loan to you for as long as I have the domain name and as long as you aren't up to no good with it. If/when Bluesky turns evil, you can walk away with your identity untouched.

How does this service work? This server uses handlerd, which simplifies the process of managing and associating handles with your Bluesky DID.

Who made handlerd? I wrote it myself in strict C, and uses SQLite, GNU Libmicrohttpd, libcurl, a dash of JavaScript, and some help from NGINX for the reverse proxy. Check out the source code on Github.

How do I get started? Just go to the landing page or contact me for assistance.

Where can I get legit help on this? There are official instructions on how to set your own handle available here.
